Who we are
Parendipity, Inc. ("Parendipity," "we," "us," or "our") provides family-logistics software for parents and caregivers. This policy covers our website, mobile apps, APIs, support channels, and connected Google and billing integrations.
Contact us at support@parendipity.ai. Parendipity Tech, Inc., 8520 Allison Pointe Blvd Ste 223 PMB 663764, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250-4299 US.
Information we collect
- Account and profile information, including name, email address, avatar, timezone, household membership, and sign-in identifiers.
- Family and child profile information that you or another household member enter, including names, school/activity context, assignments, and caregiver responsibilities.
- Event, task, reminder, source, digest, and notification data created by Parendipity from connected Gmail, Google Calendar, and app activity.
- Google data you authorize, including Gmail messages needed to identify family logistics and Google Calendar metadata/events needed to show calendars and sync selected events.
- Device and push-notification data, diagnostics, analytics, support messages, subscription status, and transaction records needed to operate the website and mobile apps.
How we use information
- Provide the Relief Dashboard, event parsing, reminders, calendar sync, digests, and shared household coordination.
- Operate subscriptions, trials, purchase restoration, billing support, refunds, taxes, fraud prevention, and security controls.
- Maintain, debug, secure, and improve the website, mobile apps, APIs, and customer support experience.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
Google data and scopes
- gmail.readonly lets Parendipity read relevant Gmail messages so we can find school, league, activity, registration, schedule, action-needed, and logistics information for your family.
- calendar.calendarlist.readonly lets Parendipity show the calendars available to your Google account so you can choose where events should sync.
- calendar.events lets Parendipity create, update, and remove Parendipity-managed event links when you choose calendar sync. We do not delete arbitrary user-created calendar events.
Parendipity's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Limited Use commitments
- We use Google data only to provide or improve user-facing Parendipity features.
- We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to advertising platforms.
- Humans do not read Google data except with your consent, for support you request, for security/compliance, or to diagnose a specific issue.
- We share Google data only with service providers that need it to provide Parendipity and that are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, push notifications, analytics, diagnostics, customer support, billing, and payment processing. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
Retention and deletion
We keep active-account data while your account is active and as needed to provide Parendipity. In the mobile app, go to Settings, Account and data, Delete account to start self-service deletion. Support at support@parendipity.ai is a fallback only if you cannot access the app.
Deleting your Parendipity account removes or deidentifies your profile, Google tokens, sessions, mobile tokens, push devices, source data, assignments, preferences, notification jobs, and local Gmail/Calendar-derived links. If other household members remain, genuinely shared household records needed by them may remain, but your identity and personal source data are removed or deidentified. If you are the only household member, household records no one else can access are removed or deidentified.
We attempt remote Google OAuth revocation during deletion and always clear local Google credentials so future scans and sync jobs cannot resume. Revoking Google access from your Google Account stops future Google access, but it does not by itself delete your Parendipity account.
We retain minimum deidentified billing, tax, refund, fraud, security, and deletion-audit records when required. Backup copies age out on their normal cycle and are not used to restore deleted accounts except as required for security, fraud, or legal reasons.
Subscriptions and transactions
Apple subscriptions are managed by Apple. Deleting your Parendipity account does not cancel Apple billing, and retained Apple transaction/subscription records are minimized and deidentified so App Store Server Notifications can be processed without restoring account access. Active Stripe recurrence owned by a deleting user or sole-member household is canceled before deletion completes.
Security and your rights
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict processing of your data. Contact support@parendipity.ai to exercise these rights.
Children and changes
Parendipity is intended for household decision makers and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where law requires. We may update this policy and will post the current date here.
