Terms of Service

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a contract between you and Parendipity, Inc. By accessing or using our website, mobile apps, APIs, or connected integrations, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter a contract and be a household decision maker or authorized caregiver to use Parendipity. You are responsible for your account, household setup, calendar choices, purchase decisions, and all activity under your account.

3. The service

Parendipity helps families coordinate activities by connecting Gmail and Google Calendar, identifying relevant family logistics, showing events and actions, sending reminders, and syncing selected events. Google authorization is required for core Gmail and Calendar functionality, not for convenience social login.

4. Third-party integrations

Your use of Google, Apple, Stripe, and other third-party services is governed by their terms and policies. By connecting Google, you authorize Parendipity to access and process Gmail and Calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy and the Google consent screen.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Parendipity offers auto-renewable monthly iOS subscriptions through Apple. The selected tier is based on active child-profile count: one child, two children, or family max for three or more children.

StoreKit displays the localized price, billing period, and any eligible introductory offer before you confirm purchase. That displayed StoreKit price controls over examples or marketing copy. A 1-month introductory trial is available only when StoreKit reports your Apple account is eligible. Unless canceled through Apple before the trial or billing period ends, the subscription converts to and renews monthly at the StoreKit price.

Manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your Parendipity account does not cancel Apple billing. Restore Purchase is available in the app for eligible Apple purchases. Refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies and applicable law.

Some legacy or web billing may be handled through Stripe. If a Stripe subscription is active and owned by the deleting user or a sole-member household, Parendipity cancels that recurrence before account deletion completes.

6. Acceptable use

You will not misuse the service, access data without authorization, interfere with the service, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service, submit unlawful content, or use Parendipity to send spam or violate law.

7. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in Parendipity, including software, logos, and service content. You retain rights in your content and grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it to provide the service.

8. Termination and deletion

You may stop using Parendipity or delete your account from mobile Settings, Account and data, Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the service or users. We handle data after termination or deletion as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that every email, event, action, reminder, calendar sync, or notification will be detected, correct, timely, or uninterrupted. You remain responsible for confirming family schedules and obligations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parendipity and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of 100 dollars or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Parendipity and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

13. Changes, privacy, and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the current date here. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data. Questions can be sent to support@parendipity.ai.
